While we obviously have to sign a CB’d who’d be comfortable playing in this high line, I don’t think that should be the FIRST thing we look at.
This is a long term signing. Ideally someone who can partner Cubarsi for the next 5-7 years (and more). What should be prioritised first are the fundamentals.
That’s exactly why I’m so high on Vuskovic. A player who’d thrive with and without Flick - as opposed to a specialist - who may well look out of place in a different system.
