@AlexSwan @RunesAndRift Atlas is great but I fear it’s not manual enough and probably will get the riot boot eventually

I'm so in deep with the @RunesAndRift discord in part due to the ranked ladder, the only way I'm going to switch is if they make the switch! I stream most days using TCGA and mostly like it, but I only hear amazing things about riftatlas.

I was regularly surprised how flexible this spell is with the deck Double conquer turns by giga buffing Sett / punch first -> push with movement spell on Lucian/Fiora Destroy removal spell value on cards like Singularity / Falling Star Can surprise play for a clutch defense hold (rare but came up a couple times) One thing that isn't 100% clear to me is whether you can save the target with The Boss effect. Twice during the weekend it was ruled favorably for me by judges (they said you CAN save with Sett The Boss and gain might without killing your unit) even though it was contested / appealed both times. Obviously I won't contest the judges in that situation but I could be convinced it wasn't the right call. If it indeed works that way though...kinda busted.

Here's my Sett deck that almost won Best-Of at #RQVegas Yone put in tons of work all weekend. In a meta where people avoid combat, he can really shine with Showstopper/Wallop. Happy to answer any questions. Maybe will do a YT breakdown if ppl want. GL fellow Sett enjoyers!

Here’s what I played in Houston (4-2 drop) In hindsight I would cut one wallop… maybe for a third yellow sett. Overall the deck was very good and I was happy to pilot it. I made a couple of mistakes for sure. It’s ok, I’ll do better next time. GGs, fun event. #Riftbound

@9000Spectrum @EpicallyEvil @RiftboundReport @SkillCheckDM blade doesnt check to see a creature be killed, it just cares who controlled whatever it tried to kill because you resolve as much of an effect as you can, unlike in MTG. for example discipline will always draw you a card even if the targeted unit dies before it resolves(IIRC)

@DemiurgeAcronym @EpicallyEvil @RiftboundReport @SkillCheckDM I know that currently sett can trigger hidden blade while still saving a unit and draw 2 cards. Was thinking this would work the same but wanted to check

@EpicallyEvil @9000Spectrum @RiftboundReport @SkillCheckDM I was told the opposite is true and sett is a replacement effect. I know with baited hook saving the creature lets you look at the top 5 but put nothing in play

@jfwong I agree, orange sett is awesome! You can play him, buff on play, pop buff and then arena bar him to pop again (12 might) , then showstopper him in as a 13. Gets over most things at a BF and any counter spells to buff might up. Then he conquers getting his buff back

@9000Spectrum sett orange gets a buff on conquer. I think that’s way better.

I’ve been testing Sett extensively but have avoided Arena Bar like the plague, but my builds are using orange Sett more than Kingpin. What do we think about this Sett list that went undefeated and won the Atlanta event?

@TheDisDude @Savjz @RiftboundRD Cool! Thanks for the thoughts! I don’t disagree with your thoughts on swaps. In my local meta I especially think 2 Leona swapped in would feel good. Or maybe another primal. What do you typically change from the main board for those side board cards?

I posted a little bit of that in the Discord, but I’m also playing with different cards in the side board! I love the 3 Unyielding Spirits for Kai’sa, so that wing be changing. For Yi/Viktor, I like playing Sabotage. Not sure I need 2 in the side board though. Also not sure we need 3 Salvage. Might cut one of both to test a few options. I’m considering Leona, Shen, another Primal Strength, and Harnessed Dragons.

@leeroy_stinson Missed playing challenge. Play challenge on voli before moving into left BF to not trigger shield. So sett only takes 10.

Sett is AMAZING in Riftbound ! I'm honestly surprised we didn't see more Sett being played at Chinese event: the legend, signature and the champions are all very good, and Divine Judgement is incredibly SPICY. I'll post a guide on my Riftbound YT channel later today.
