@Gt8lee I get that he was more intended to be seen as a secondary villain to the true villain that was the system of competition and entertainment reflected in the death games. But they didn't need a character to represent that imo. ..Uh well that was a long ramble

@Gt8lee I think overall the final confrontation was a good scene. I liked the bet on wether humanity would show mercy on that homeless man. But even though it technically made sense, I wasn't a fan of il nam as a villain.

The big reveal at the end of squid game was thoroughly disappointing I think for most people. But on second watch it becomes clear that this twist was planned from the start, which makes it harder to pretend that it didn't happen.

Anyways I liked how the only episode that doesn't feature any death games and takes place almost entirely within normal society is titled "hell". I guess it's a bit cheeky but i liked it.

I did not like the il-nam twist. It didn't serve a thematic function that wasn't already communicated through other elements in the story. It retroactively changes the expe of scenes like the marble game and gives them less impact. The reveal just felt kinda unnecessary.
