They really did think this platform belonged to them. The second they were made aware it didn't, they bolted.

@OverpaidA But again - not all of the people who r being let in were part of some govt effort to censor them. Many just spread hateful or dangerous rhetoric and were found to have violated the Terms & Conditions they agreed to when they created their account.

@OverpaidA No I saw the reports. But I didn’t see reports that they were going after more than disinformation, misinformation, etc which I don’t believe should be absolutely unchecked. Now if there r reports they intentionally shut down true info or just opposing ideology that’s different.

@OverpaidA 1A is still protection from govt censoring speech not private businesses. There’s a difference between the two and 1A speech is not unlimited.

@APhoenixWriting The response to "hate" speech is more speech - not censorship. In Packingham v. NC, SCOTUS justices argued that 1A protections apply to social media platforms, since they constitute a "modern public square". Regardless, Twitter has mute & block buttons - so what's the problem?

The existence of trans women is not a prejudice against us but recognition that they see themselves IN us.
