Quite amazing that the sporting director of Tottenham Hotspur justified the January window by saying ‘the injured players will come back’, yet most of those players are still injured/their situations have worsened and the list is continuing to pile up

@tehTrunk Going down will be a fucking travesty and will set us back years. The reputational damage will be unimaginable. The club's value will halve overnight. It would also be a golden opportunity for a cultural reset that we can't afford not to take. Sell them all bar Archie.

We are witnessing the opposite of the Leicester title season, when the extraordinary story started with unconscious bias from refs and at times became conscious. The league wanted the story, the refs and opponents wanted the story. They got the story. Tottenham are in exactly the same position, they all want the story and they’re doing all they can, consciously or otherwise, to make it happen.

What are the chances Thomas Frank & Roberto De Zerbi both happened to want to sign Andy Robertson? Same way that 3 Spurs managers wanted Connor Gallagher. The club clearly have set players that they want to sign, regardless of who the manager is, whether it makes sense or not.
