Once a proud, disciplined, footballing side. Now the dirty, anti-footballing side in a match involving *Salford*. Another stain on the reputation of our club, well done to everyone involved.
Quite a shame to see that a young lad on loan feels the need to post a public apology. He's had some poor games recently but we'd most certainly be lower in the table without him! Our fans are a very strange bunch who only get worse as time goes on.
This time last week, I was celebrating us playing the Notts County way again. Tonight, we've all been shown what a false dawn that was. This season, we've become devoid of any identity and can't create chances unless our opposition make it very easy for us.
@AWroughts Sometimes he benefits from coming in around 70 mins against defenders who have chased Jodi all game, bench strength has certainly improved from last year ⚫️⚪️
Have we suddenly become the possession team of the last 5 seasons? Why did we ever abandon this style? This has been so encouraging to watch, I thought we'd lost the ability to play like this altogether
Our fans seem to have a new "this is the worst team we've played since coming back up" near on every week, but Tranmere are undoubtedly the worst of the lot
We don't know how to be a possession team any more, a severe decline from the team we were last season. We no longer decide the state of a game and have to rely on opponents giving us way too much space. I dare any of the pub football apologists on here to tell me I'm wrong.
@NayV99@jacobncm No memory loss from me, we had a brief improvement in performances (only two of which were actually very good) but all against teams that gave us considerably more space. Normal service appears to have resumed.
@AWroughts@jacobncm Been literally saying for weeks how we've missed many chances but still win by a goal. Why does one loss suddenly give you memory loss?
@railroad7654@jacobncm Ok, you can name me 3 in a very brief good run. Now what about the rest of the season? We're still 9th on big chances created this season, compared to 1st last season.
That tops Saturday for me. Tactically the best we've been all season and the workrate was top throughout. We finally looked like a possession team first half and were so much better for it - hopefully more of the same to come.
Hall's playing deeper in the midfield and we're looking a whole lot better at playing out the back. With this improvement, we've kept one of the best attacking sides in the league pinned back for most of the game 🤷♂️
Much better than we've been over the last 2 months today - kept the ball well, moved it well and created plenty. Crewe were one of the worst teams I've seen this season but we took full advantage. Take this performance level into the rest of the season and we'll be just fine 🫡
