@Jason Curious how people feel about linking medical records just as we do criminal records. If someone suffers mental health issues, do we think they should be free to bear fire arms? More often than not, mental instability has been recorded amongst the shooters.

Every American having a right to a couple of firearms is reasonable. If we can agree on a reasonable number (2? 3?), it would make sense for the insurance industry to figure out the cost to society of owning more and/OR the high-powered, high-capacity firearms.
