HR: Which state are you from? Me: Ondo state HR: We have an opening in Ondo state. Will you be willing to work in Ondo state if we transfer you there? Me: (Lost in deep thoughts considering the fact tht Ive been jobless for 9 months after NYSC) Yes, I can work in anywhere I'm posted to, ma.... Provided the pay is worth it 2nd HR: I like you already! That is how a man should condition is thought. Though I wasn't happy I will be posted to Ondo, even after getting the offer letter, I still spoke with the MD and some management staff on changing my place of assignment. But then.. It didn't materialize. Working in Ondo gave me the luxury of leaving my bed by 7:00am and still get to work on or before 7:30. No traffic, no nothing. Just a 10 mins napep to my place of work. I'm on the same salary with those in Lagos too.

House rent in Akure is so expensive now that even ₦400k can’t get you a decent two-bedroom apartment. And that’s just for the rent alone not including agent fees, caution, or other “total package” costs. With ₦400k as your rent budget only, you still won’t find one.
