About to do a year 2 MBBS lecture. There are 500 students in a year. Looks like <30 have shown up in the preceding lecture. I know it’s all adult learning and can watch online. But seriously? I’m not going to bother next year if you can’t be bothered to come.

Imagine the equivalent happening in athletics, say. Telling the lead runner to slow down because someone had fallen over. The guy way behind gets to stretch out, pop on some new trainers and then it becomes a sprint finish. Absolute joke! #F1Finale #Hamilton #Robbed

I think that, as a result of #IAmPhilipMitchell case, we now all must insist on longer consultations times Trust efficiencies be damned, we need to be able to write three pages of notes per patient consultation

You're right @Jeremy_Hunt, it won't Must look at retention as well as recruitment- & a *major* driver out of the profession (& to LTFT) is punitive pension taxation. This *must* be adressed with a tax unregistered scheme, exactly like you have done for the judges RT if agree

BUT, as someone who tried & failed to get 5000 more GPs into the system, I don’t think this package will turn the tide. We got 000s more graduates into GP surgeries, but we didn't make progress because experienced GPs were retiring/going part time faster than new trainees arrived
