@JakeGasson1918 @SalonikaCmpnSoc Glad you are enjoying it. Over 25 years since @AlanSWakefield and I first visited.

Day two of the @SalonikaCmpnSoc battlefield tour. Very much enjoyed visiting the Struma Valley for the first time and talking about the development of Anglo-Greek relations in 1918.

@JakeGasson1918 @GPiegais @SalonikaCmpnSoc Jake, it was great having you along, your contributions to the tour proved the worth of the SCS running the Bursary. I'm reporting back to the Society's AGM on Saturday. Look forward to your contribution to the journal next year and hope you will maintain links with the SCS.

@GPiegais @SalonikaCmpnSoc I’ve been before but I’d not managed to visit the Doiran battlefield or get a grasp for the ground in the same way as I did this time. Thanks has to go to @AlanSWakefield for that one!

Heading back to the UK after a great week touring the Macedonian Front and I am incredibly grateful to the @SalonikaCmpnSoc for enabling this through awarding me the inaugural Philip Barnes Bursary.

Finally, of course, thank you to all of you who came along in the day to enjoy the talks, and to those of you who followed the event online and supported it!
