There are two kinds of founders: Those who start with a bold idea and learn the business skills along the way, and those who already have the business instincts and are simply hunting for the right idea. Zach Yadegari is the latter. He’s been building all kinds of apps for years, from websites that let students access blocked games during school to alarm clocks that play motivational soundbites. When he met Henry Langmac at coding camp at 10, and they joined forces, that pace only accelerated. “We were going to just keep releasing new apps until we found one that really stood out and felt like it had real potential,” Yadegari says. “Then we’d double down and go all-in.” That app was Cal AI, an AI-powered calorie tracker and a 2026 Under 30 company. This week, the cofounders announced they sold the app to MyFitnessPal after scaling it to $30 million in revenue last year. Sometimes you get a chance to be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of what's possible and builds things that have never existed before. Two weeks ago was one of those moments: Rork Max is an AI that can build some of the most complex apps for iPhone, Watch, TV & Vision Pro. Even Pokémon Go with AR & 3D. The apps that come out of Rork Max are some of the most amazing apps I've ever seen, and I feel like my imagination is becoming more of a limiting factor than the AI itself. To bring Xcode into the browser, we had to solve a few hard problems: - Installing apps on phones directly from the browser - Running an iPhone simulator in the cloud and streaming it live, like Google Meet - Acquiring hundreds of Mac Minis that we silently spin up for each user on the site And all of this is only possible because we managed to put together an incredible team. I genuinely enjoy every single day of work.

Zach Yadegari is a 19yo co-founder of CalAI, an app that tracks your calories with a camera. In 18 months, he grew it from $0 to $50M ARR and sold it to MyFitnessPal – the biggest calorie-tracking app in the world. He started it because he cared about fitness but hated slow, manual tracking. AI tools like ChatGPT inspired him to simplify it. Zach started coding at 8 and published his first app at 12. Now you don’t even have to learn to code. Be the next Zach.

@oliverhenry I get the watchtime point, I know how it’s work. But 8 comments and 3 shares for 76k views is a massive statistical anomaly. Even with high retention, the engagement rate is around 0.2%. It feels more like a Spark Ad or some very specific inorganic traffic than organic reach
