What is the most impressive thing you have ever witnessed?

@SandyofCthulhu Did you ever consider the strategy of playing goths, and walling in your towns with dozens of barracks instead of walls? Because of the + unit training speed, a barrack-wall can overwhelm enemy with newly created units before the barracks go down. Hilarious in MP

Another tale of game balance from me. I gave the Goths the Huskarl unique unit. The intent was to give the Goths interesting late game choices. The main Goth unit is heavy infantry. The Goths get cheap infantry and their Barracks trains those infantry faster, so they are really good at pumping out hordes of champions to overrun the enemy. Now the counter-unit to heavy infantry in Age of Empires is archers. So when the Goths come calling, you pump out crossbowmen and riddle them with bolts. If the Goths were a normal civilization, they would be forced to invest in some cavalry or skirmishers, which are the normal anti-crossbow units. That's all well and good. And the Goths can do that. But to give them another option, I created the Huskarl. This is another type of heavy infantry. But unlike the normal troops, the Huskarl has a weaker attack, fewer hit points, and a really good Pierce armor, making it resistant to arrows and bolts. Thus, the Goths, instead of using other units, could instead add Huskarls to their mix when attacking. The Huskarls can then target enemy crossbows, while their heavy infantry got on with the business of war crimes (killing villagers & burning their town). I regard the Huskarl as one of my most successful unique units. It does something unusual and fits right into the Goth play style.
