Talks with the President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa @AH_AlSharaa. We agreed to work together to bring greater security and more opportunities for development to our societies. We discussed the situation in the region and the prospects for changing it for the better. We also went over the circumstances of Russia’s war against Ukraine – I am grateful for the support. There is strong interest in exchanging military and security experience. I appreciate the words of respect for our people. We also touched on Ukraine’s role as a reliable supplier of food products and discussed joint opportunities to strengthen food security across the region. We understand very well the energy and infrastructure challenges Syria is currently facing. We are ready to work together to expand opportunities for both our countries and their people.

Today in Damascus. We continue our active Ukrainian diplomacy aimed at real security and economic cooperation. Important meetings lie ahead – several substantive formats have been prepared. Every nation and every region deserves a peaceful life.

#Syria: today marks the 11th anniversary of the capture of #Idlib-city by Rebels. The 4-day battle mainly involved seizing surrounding checkpoints and defensive positions, with little street fighting once they fell - allowing Idlib to be captured without major damage. It marked the beginning of an offensive that would seize most of the province that was under Regime control, with Rebel groups united under the Jaish Fateh coalition. The capture of Idlib was a key turning point in the war, securing a strategic base that would later serve as a launchpad for the final offensive that overthrew Assad.

Appalling strikes by the Iranian regime, carried out with drones and missiles, are hitting peaceful cities, infrastructure, and people – precisely during the holy month of Ramadan. For Ukrainians, who also endure such challenges every day, it is crucial that terror does not prevail anywhere in the world and that life is well-defended in every region. @jdv_93 Dokku never swore allegiance to anyone publically, not even AQ. The world was ever changing and the post 9/11 world was rife with oppression against muslims. Everybody hated Muslims and it gave Russia free reign to crack down hard on everyone. Internal troubles amplified the end.

We discussed the situation around Iran with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan @RTErdogan. We are ready to share our expertise to prevent the expansion of war and protect lives, but at the same time, Ukraine needs to strengthen its own air defense, and we are counting on appropriate support from our partners. The President noted that Türkiye is ready to host the next round of talks in a trilateral format. We appreciate this initiative and hope it can produce results. I thank President Erdoğan for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, for Türkiye’s readiness to play a role in ensuring maritime security within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing, and for future decisions to assist the Ukrainian energy sector.

To mark the end of this journey I have made a video commemorating Muslim Shishani's journey and his soldiers. I wish there was more footage of this great man in the Caucasus but Allahu alam. During this journey I found much footage I presumed to be lost forever. Enjoy this video.
