While growing up, it was considered bad to do business.
In the early days of One97, my father, due to social pressure, asked me if I could consider a normal job over the risks in business.
In fact, startups became first-class citizens when our dear PM @narendramodi started the Startup India mission and kept expanding GOI commitment to startups.
That’s when starting up in colleges instead of waiting for job became normal. it was so rare to see start/ build something new in India before that. Silicon Valley was example for immigration not an inspiration to start!!
Happy that we have crushed many stereotypes and have such vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in India now.
