Bolstering the meteor theory for this morning's #boom in #Utah, the two reddish pixels shown over Davis and Morgan counties are from the GOES-17 Lightning Mapper, but not associated with evidence of thunderstorm activity in satellite or radar. Likely the meteor trail/flash #utwx

We've received many reports of people feeling or hearing a "boom" ~8:32 am. We can confirm that it was not an earthquake.

We are closing our EOC at this time. There will be sandbags available outside the gate at 950 S 200 W if another storm cell hits us later tonight.

The water seems to be receding in most parts of town, but there are still some flooded areas. The water washed rocks onto roads and displaced manhole covers, so please use caution when driving.

We activated our EOC for flooding in @BountifulCityUT. Bountiful residents can get sandbags if needed at our Public Works building at 950 S. 200 W.
