📮 Postcard from Oma – Inside Hotel Le Premier, Zagreb 🏛️❤️ Nomads, we just stepped inside and wow… this place is even more beautiful than we expected! The hotel has been meticulously restored while keeping all its original 1920s charm. The high ceilings, original marble floors, crystal chandeliers and warm wooden details make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, but with modern luxury added. Top left: The impressive main lobby where we were warmly welcomed. Top right: The cozy lounge with fireplace – perfect for evening drinks. Bottom left: The elegant dining room where breakfast and dinner are served. Bottom right: One of the grand staircases with beautiful original details. This building was once a private palace for a prominent Croatian family and later served important diplomatic functions in the 20th century. Today it’s one of the most loved boutique hotels in Zagreb for its perfect mix of history and comfort. Hotel Le Premier is housed in a stunning early 20th-century palace, originally built in 1923 by the renowned Croatian architect Lav Kalda as a private residence for a wealthy local family. The building survived the turbulent history of the 20th century and was carefully restored and transformed into this elegant luxury hotel. It perfectly combines historic grandeur with modern comfort. Ape is locked in as driver, Laika got the co-pilot seat and is living her best life, while Oma and Brainrot are having a full-blown karaoke party on the back seat. We just stopped at a roadside restaurant for a quick break — coffee, fresh sandwiches and a little stretch. While we’re sitting here, Oma drops the news with a big smile: “I’ve already found and booked our home for the next 3 days… Hotel Le Premier! A beautiful boutique hotel with a Penthouse Presidential Suite that has its own big terrace and a fantastic view of the cathedral. It looks amazing!” Ape is super excited, Brainrot immediately started looking up pictures, and Laika is hoping for some leftover sausage 😂 We’re all really looking forward to arriving! Yo Brainrot Nomads 🫶🌇 Roadtrip Arc – #317: One Last Magical Evening on the Balcony 🥩✨ After a lot of gentle pushing we finally managed to get Oma out of the museum (she honestly would’ve stayed there until closing time 😂). Because it’s our last evening in this beautiful hotel, Ape arranged everything with roomservice: a big BBQ setup waiting for us on the private balcony. The view over Ljubljana with the castle lit up in the distance is just perfect. Laika is in absolute heaven — she thinks this is the best part of the whole day (especially the sausages). Oma is sitting back, enjoying a glass of local wine, and we’re all reflecting on how incredible our time in Ljubljana has been. Oma got a bit emotional and said: “Thank you so much Brainrot Nomads… you made this stop unforgettable. Every idea, every suggestion, every like and comment — it all brought us here.” Brainrot added with a big grin: “But now it’s your turn again, Nomads! Tomorrow we leave Ljubljana. 📮 Postcard from Oma – Ljubljana City Museum (Final Part 2) 🏛️❤️ Nomads, even after all these rooms I’m still finding new treasures! This museum really covers everything. We saw beautiful traditional Slovenian folk costumes with incredible embroidery, old photographs that show daily life in the last century, detailed models of Ljubljana’s castles and fortifications, and the most wonderful collection of ancient books and handwritten documents. Top left: Gorgeous traditional Slovenian clothing and folk art. Top right: Old photos and objects from the 20th century. Bottom left: History of Ljubljana’s castles and defenses with beautiful models. Bottom right: Rare old books, manuscripts and historical seals. I’m so happy we took the time for this.
