4.4 Million views in the last 90 days. All local and all filmed on a mobile by me. Yes I am changing the media and it is exciting. More on my Facebook page. “Here at Penarth SMTV we are driven and inspired by beautiful local stories like this. Vincent Pugliese from Tony's Taste of Italy talking about his Dad and he started to cry. What a beautiful moment as the business celebrates 50 years in the town. He says “My Dad loved the people, what he did and making people happy.” Please follow this page for the full story - more to come..”

What a great story for my local channel - all filmed and edited on a mobile. Who says the Women’s Institute is all jam and Jerusalem? Nipple tassels and burlesque glamour came to Barry WI this week, bringing a cheeky twist to tradition and plenty of smiles. #womensinstitute #burlesque

For years, I worked in mainstream broadcast journalism. I was a journalist at the BBC, and spent many years at ITV, and built my career on asking questions and saying what I believed to be true, even when that was uncomfortable. That is why people come to me now. They come to me because they do not feel they can speak elsewhere. That trust matters. I did not leave the BBC. During my career I was offered two full-time roles and turned both down. One was at BBC Points West in Bristol as a presenter. The other was at BBC X-Ray in Cardiff. I turned down the first because ITV offered me more money and did not want to lose me. I turned down the second, in 2012, because I was pregnant with my second child. Had it been part-time, I would have taken it. I respected the people and I respected the work. I really loved working at ITV and the BBC and I miss the newsroom. And during my years in mainstream broadcasting, I did not witness the kind of wrongdoing now coming out in the news re Scott Mills etc. My criticism at the time re the BBC was different. It was about inefficiency, waste and too many people on high salaries without delivering value. I didn’t see that at ITV. But institutions change. Cultures change. And when people no longer feel able to speak openly, they look for someone they trust. That is where I now find myself. It is not an easy place to be. It brings attacks, smears, distortion and abuse. It puts you in the firing line. But it also brings responsibility. So I will continue to listen. I will continue to ask difficult questions. And where there is credible evidence, I will continue to pursue the truth without fear or favour. Because trust matters. Truth matters. And if people place their confidence in me, they deserve to know it will not be wasted. 24.6.20 👇 I think my great great great granddaughter will be very proud of me 😊

Former BBC and ITV reporter teaching you how to be the news with your mobile. No jacket, make up or studio this time - and is it needed? But the message and truth remains the same... I left msm not for money but because of my values and principles

Two years ago I didn’t like or want social (new) media but now I’ve realised how essential it is to save us. The pain and distress of so many can be heard and the truth can alleviate that. I am no one special but I’ve built a platform... we need to be heard..

@BreesAnna It is not the first time the BBC has failed to respond to alarm bells about its star names. There does seem to be a curiosity gap among BBC managers and staff.

@BreesAnna did what any good journalist would do when she was told inappropriate messages sent by Scott Mills and contacted the BBC. The BBC ignored her. Today they have admitted they should have asked more questions and apologised
