Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman said, "Why not build for the future?" The Olympics committee decision makers and some WNBA vets weren't really thinking about the future of the game. They claimed that they chose 12 players for their own integrity, not for marketability of the league. Or perhaps, they didn't want more eyeballs on Caitlin Clark at the Summer Olympic games. They didn't want her fans there either because they don't like her fanbase, and they don't like fans & supporters who call out their bullshit. They didn't want, according to Andraya Carter who spoke with Stephen A. Smith, Caitlin to be a distraction at this Summer's Olympics. Instead of embracing Caitlin, they see her and her fanbase as a distraction. They don't really care about the growth of the game and, apparently, they're also allergic to 💰. MINNEAPOLIS: Major water main break in the area of 2nd St. N. and 30th Ave. N. - Reported to be a 36" water main that has broken and is flooding streets in the area, with concern of a sinkhole developing.
