This may have been the wake up call they needed but wow… Legit could’ve been anyone’s ballgame 36 minutes into the game.

Jon Scheyer has to take a hard look in the mirror after today. His #1 overall squad just went toe to toe with 16 seed Siena who played their starting five for ALL 40 MINUTES. You can blame it all on execution, but it’s his responsibility to prepare them too. Need to be better.

Duke SURVIVES against 16-seed Siena in the Round of 64 🤯

Even if Siena doesn’t win this game this is just as crazy if not more than the UVA/Purdue 16 seed losses. Duke is a Top 5 team ever on KenPom and they’re in a dogfight with 16 seed Siena with 5 players 35 minutes in.

Siena leads with nearly 5 minutes to go and they haven’t played a single bench player. This is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen.

They’re lucky Siena’s center and bigs haven’t been able to finish on some of these layups and dunks. They’re OUTREBOUNDING Duke. A statistical fluke for sure, but we have eyes and Siena looks equal out there today.

This very well could be Siena’s best game of the season and Duke’s worst… but I’m not ignoring how poor Duke’s defense has looked today. So many open looks EVERYWHERE for Siena.
