Mr. Bear came by last night for a drink. We put away all the birdseed stuff at night so water was all that was available to him.

@granttosterudwx I am so happy right now. We had a solid hour of moisture. There was a bit of hail but all is well. Cañada de los Alamos.

Mother Nature sure got the memo about today being the first day of monsoon season! Now, these storms aren't a result of the monsoon pattern. But since monsoon season officially runs from June 15 through September 30, this rain still counts as monsoon rainfall. #NMwx

@theplantnerd23 I do this too. One year we had a devastating hailstorm, the backyard was like pesto, and the squirrels chewed through my window screen to get to the tomatoes.

@thatsnotmustard My MIL was somewhat of a boy mom (she had 3 sons and called them her "harem.") She definitely gave me and my sister-in-law a hard time at first. Her reign (now long over) could be difficult. But then I had two sons and I have to say she understood and appreciated them well.

100 years ago, I dated the son of a boy mom. Now that I have a son, I’m always on the lookout for signs I’m acting like she did. “You better clean your own room, bud, because you’d be amazed how weird life can get if I keep doing it for you.” My MIL has sons and isn’t a boy mom

“Boy mom” culture has always weirded me out, because first of all, if my husband ever called one of our daughters his little wife or little gf, he would have to move out immediately. But it’s okay for moms to do that?? Also
