I have a genuine question. Many scientists say humans evolved from apes and other primates. So why don’t we see that kind of evolution happening today? Why does it seem like it stopped?

The doctrine of the church is what it is & will be taught until the end of time throughout many liturgical revisions.

@Damimojo @UcheMaryOkoli It is a liturgical color: that of funerals and All Souls Day. However, a priest has the option to use purple or white if he so chooses. Most all priests exercise these alternatives rather than buy a set of vestments and liturgical accessories for one day in the liturgical year.

@UcheMaryOkoli Black is a colour in the church but not a liturgical colour. Liturgical colours in the Church work accordingly with the seasons and each colour having it symbolism according to the season and period. Chasubles are also used according to seasons and period matching up the colors.
