The guy who owns #VaaranamAayiram telugu version #SuriyaSonOfKrishnan 's theatrical rights is settled for life with this 1 film. They re-released it for the 6th time and it has earned near 2.5 crs in this release. He can re-release this yearly once and keep making money.

@Rahul_AKxSKfan Verdict is dependent on theatrical recovery. If theatrical value is 100 crs gross (50 crs share), then movie making 100 crs is a hit 80 is average and less than 50 is a disaster. For Vaa vaathiyaar theatrical gross value will at least be 50 crs. It hardly recovered 30%.

Rest are moved to second half. A bad year for tamil cinema so far with Karuppu alone being the only saving grace in the medium/big budget movies category. Small movies are doing very well.
