What we have, home, cars and a comfortable life, we have worked damn hard for. We take responsibility for ourselves and when we want money for nice to have extras, like vacations overseas, we work extra hours.

If the UK joined the US as the 51st state. We would be the poorest state in the entire union. Mississippi which is portrayed at swamp dwelling hillbillies in majority of international media is above us. I don’t think people grasp how far we’ve fallen in real terms when it comes to GDP per capita. We’ve seen no growth for almost an entire generations. We’ve seen our productivity decrease and our tax increases. The average person on the UK, on £50,000 is less well off than your average Mississippi swamp dweller.

Oh that’s easy, when I need a doctor I can get one, when I actually need one, unlike extended family members I have living in the uk, who tell me they can’t even get the local medical centre to answer the damn phone! Yeh, my work includes medical cover for my wife and I, yeh there are deductibles, but you know what, I take responsibility for my health, like a grown ass man, instead of expecting the government to wet nurse me through life.

While we were on vacation, last year, my wife did a comparison of the cost of our normal weekly grocery shop, between the UK and Wyoming. After all the math was done, having priced the same, or as close as we could get, groceries, the UK was 3 x more expensive than Wyoming. Then, just out of interest, we compared other things, gasoline, housing etc and wow, y’all are getting ripped off in a big way. Personally I don’t know how anyone can afford to live in the uk!
