Another piece of random lore: before OSRS I played on a certain 4chan board run rsps as "Bill". Was top 40 at one point I think. Xp rates were 2.25x, vanilla Oldschool otherwise. But "free" was the biggest draw for me. Fun times with one world of a few dozen regulars.

F2P RS. Middle school. I scammed my way to a ~150M Phat using a Sara rune set switcheroo I made up. Swapped the 1M platebody for another 300K platelegs. 2nd trade screen showed: Saradomin platelegs Saradomin full helm Saradomin kiteshield Saradomin platelegs. Worked well. Sorry.
