Ashley is 1000% correct that there’s countless other characters that could’ve been racebent, but Snape, his relationship to the narrative, the other children, being presented as an antagonist until the final 100 pages of the last book with the Lily reveal? ITS BAD.

Yeah and to be clear I think plenty of other characters can be race bent without issue! I think Snape is just a rough case of it though unfortunately.
