We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our club-record appearance holder, George Diggle. George joined Squires Gate in 1954 and played an incredible 733 competitive games, as well as many representative and friendly games, widely considered as the club’s best ever player George also served over 50 years on our committee and raised thousands of pounds for the club. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this tough time. Rest in Peace, George. 💙
