Hedonism, the whisky we started with 23 years ago, has been recognised over its many years. Best Scotch Grain winner at the World Whisky Awards in 2020 and 2021, it continues to be our celebration of the indulgent quality of great grain whisky.

Orchard House may be the newest release in our core range, but it’s by no means short of acclaim. We were delighted when this fruit-forward blend won Gold at the 2022 World Whiskies Awards, International Spirits Challenge, and The Scotch Whisky Masters.

The Peat Monster is not only one of our most beloved whiskies, it’s also a multi-award winner. Back in 2020, Whisky Advocate named it the 9th most exciting whisky of the year – nestled in between two excellent whiskies from Aberfeldy and Kilbeggan.

The Story of the Spaniard is a whisky inspired by the travels of Compass Box founder John Glaser. The label design was inspired by the work of Diego Velázquez, who was a painter in 17th century Spain.

Can you spot all the forms of wildlife on the Orchard House bottle? Look around the periphery of the classic country house bell, and you’ll find many hiding among the beautiful vines, fruits and flowers on the label. How many can you see?

Flaming Heart is a whisky inspired by music, and the label pays homage to several iconic rock bands. Like the iconic KISS makeup worn by our two floating cherubs, whose flaming handshake is a nod to Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here”. Can you see any more?

The natural colour in whisky comes from the oak barrels, however some Scotch whiskies are artificially coloured to look darker. Here we show you how Spirit Caramel creates the illusion of age and quality. We don’t do this at Compass Box. We think our whisky looks grand as is.

Pairing with Peat. The Peat Monster’s depth and complexity make it a great companion to flavoursome foods. Juicy cuts of meat or soft, blue-veined cheeses like Stilton or Bleu des Causses work beautifully. Or if you really want to push the boat out, try it with some oysters.

Sweet & Salty. Whisky connoisseurs often pair sherry-matured whiskies with chocolate, but we find the savoury route far more compelling. The Story of the Spaniard’s wine-accented sweetness brings out the fragrant fattiness of charcuterie meats like saucisson or Jamón Iberico.
