At this moment, the price of gas in California is $4.63/gallon. This is by far the highest in the nation. It's 23 cents higher than Hawaii, an island state. It's also $1.65 higher than Maryland, a bluer state than California. Our state's energy policies are uniquely harmful.

@smartereveryday This might seem obvious, but if the company's goal is to increase profits by 10%, it is far easier to reduce input costs by 10% than to somehow generate 10% more demand. They can float this for a while by spending their good reputation. This is true in every industry I'm afraid.
