Jackson Memorial Hospital’s brand new emergency room is opening on Thursday, April 23. It’s all part of a $400 million expansion 🏥
The new 178,000 sf department will roll out in phases. Phase 1 adds 60 general exam and 4 resuscitation rooms, 6 triage and 12 fast track rooms, a full radiology suite on site and an on site pharmacy.
Phase 2: 121 adult emergency rooms, dedicated behavioral bays and 30 pediatric emergency rooms.
Phase 3: New third floor and expanded helipad access.
The entire project is expected to be completed in 2027. Fun fact: this is one of the largest ERs in the country

The case involves claims that these banks “unwittingly” processed millions in payments that allegedly helped Iran evade US sanctions. The money reportedly flowed through a Turkish bank (Kuveyt Turk) using the big banks as middlemen for US dollar transactions
“Last week the US treasury department announced that it was “moving aggressively with Economic Fury, maintaining maximum pressure on Iran”.
