We had a good thing, you stupid son of a bitch! We had free food, we had insane tech salaries and it all ran like clockwork! You could have shut your mouth, coded and made as much money as you ever wanted! But no! You just had to blow it up! You and your “Day in my life” videos, you and your DSA courses! If you'd done your job, known your place, we'd all be fine right now!

AI in robotics gets all the attention right now, but sometimes the most interesting work is very practical. Viet built a small vision system that counts potatoes on a conveyor belt. No giant dataset. No huge model. Just a clear problem and a smart setup. He used Ultralytics’ ObjectCounter, trained a tiny YOLO11 nano model, and because there was no potato dataset, he annotated a single frame with SAM 2 and trained from that. One frame. Still works across the whole video. It is a good reminder that useful AI in industry often looks like this. Focused. Lightweight. Solves a real task. If you work in manufacturing or robotics, these small systems are usually the fastest wins. They save time, reduce errors, and do not need massive infrastructure. Nice work, Viet. IMPORTANT message for everyone using Gmail. You have been automatically OPTED IN to allow Gmail to access all your private messages & attachments to train AI models. You have to manually turn off Smart Features in the Setting menu in TWO locations. Retweet so every is aware.

It was never “build what’s fundable” and it isn’t now. It’s always been: make something people want. This comes from users and customers and the needs of others.

We've raised $2.3B in Series D funding from Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Thrive, Nvidia, and Google. We're also happy to share that Cursor has grown to over $1B in annualized revenue and now produces more code than any other agent in the world. This funding will allow us to invest deeply in research and build Cursor's next magical moment.

THE MAN WHO BUILT THE WEB JUST PREDICTED ITS COLLAPSE Sir Tim Berners-Lee - the guy who literally invented the internet - just warned that AI might nuke the ad economy that keeps it alive. His logic is brutal: if large language models like ChatGPT or Gemini are the ones “reading” websites to summarize them for humans, no one’s actually seeing the ads. No eyeballs = no clicks = no cash. “If web pages are all read by LLMs… the whole ad-based business model of the web starts to fall apart.” That’s a $1 trillion domino line wobbling. Meta and Google - the twin gods of targeted advertising - are still printing money for now. Google just posted $100B in quarterly revenue, Meta cleared $51B, even as both burn billions training the AIs that could kill their golden goose. Berners-Lee’s warning cuts deep: the web’s creator thinks AI could make the internet unreadable, unprofitable - and maybe, unhuman. The next web revolution might not be built for people at all. 🚨 TELEGRAM FOUNDER ARRESTED: IS HOLDING TECH CREATORS ACCOUNTABLE FOR USER CRIMES JUST? Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, has been arrested in France on allegations that his app's encryption aids drug trafficking and fraud. Critics say this is like blaming Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the World Wide Web) for the Dark Web or Elon for every offensive tweet. Are we setting a dangerous precedent by holding tech innovators liable for the actions of users? Is this about justice, or is it a misunderstanding of how technology should be regulated? ChatGPT will no longer provide health or legal advice. The update follows the growing public debate over the increasing number of people turning to AI chatbots for expert guidance—particularly in the medical field.

Microsoft confirms "Update and Shut Down" was actually restarting Windows 11. If you have ever noticed Windows 11’s Update and Shut Down not actually shutting down your PC and restarting instead, you’re not alone. Many of us probably developed a little trust issue with that button because the PC kept bouncing back to the sign-in screen. Turns out it was a known issue with Windows 11 and even Windows 10. It's finally fixed. This fix will begin rolling out to everyone with this month's Patch Tuesday, scheduled for November 11. Requires Build 26200.7019 / 26100.7019 or newer.
