I lost my Grandpa last night. A large part of who I am, especially my sense of humor, is because of him. When my Grandmother passed away, he really stepped up and owned the role of both grandparents. When I was little, he would often beat me in Dr. Mario and was the self-proclaimed “best Dr. Mario player in the world.” We also played a lot of ToeJam & Earl together. He would always let me be ToeJam. We would watch Jay Leno and Antiques Roadshow together. We would draw train tracks outside with chalk for my Thomas the Tank Engine toys. We spent endless summers in the pool together and I would block the ladder so he couldn’t get out. Truthfully, I think it’s because I just loved those times so much. He introduced me to computers and the internet at a young age. Then, when I got older, he would call me almost weekly to come over to reset a password. He had the best stories, fun facts and stupid dad jokes. I’ve heard them all hundreds of times but I’m still going to miss them. One of his favorite jokes, and he know it wouldn’t be funny to anyone but us, was that he wanted ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ to play at his funeral and I always promised that I’d make sure it’s fulfilled. Even into his 90’s he was always the life of the party. He loved a party and a good meal. He also never turned down a cup of coffee or an S cookie from an Italian bakery. They were his favorite. I don’t know why but I’ve always loved this old photo of you (second from right) an your army buddies. I was lucky enough to have him there for all my proudest accomplishments. When my YouTube career took off, while he didn’t quite understand it, he told me he was proud of me and I’ll cherish that forever. I will continue to make you proud, Grandpa, and I’m really going to miss you. I’ll see you later.

@SPD64 Well said. I can’t also stress enough that we’re all human. I’m not saying that as a way to exonerate any wrong that any of us done before on our end. It’s important to try our best to not hurt anyone, because while ignorance is one thing, hate is never the answer.

Just to add on to this, taking accountability isn't easy at all However, if you do something bad, there are consequences, and you have to accept that in order to grow I speak as someone with a shady past. I said horrible things due to a bad influence, lost friends that had to be rebuilt, honestly was a bit of a pick-me girl back when Skype was a thing, etc All those times were my fuck ups tho. I learned, I still hold ALOT of guilt, but I learned and take full responsibility to this day This community lately seems to have a real problem with certain people trying to snake their way out of responsibility, which baffles me People make mistakes. It's how you act afterwards that dictates the type of person you are

Hey guys, need all the prayers I can get right now. My 9 month old cat is in the vet hospital. She became very anemic and nearly died on us last night. She received a blood transfusion today and is staying overnight. She'll be getting another transfusion. Her name is Gemma.
