@andreastefan84 @ChristopherHale @BasedTorba Saudi Arabia does not legally enforce the wearing of the hijab. Salman's social reforms under Vision 2030, the strict enforcement by religious police has stopped. 9/11 isn't our topic, neither is Afghanistan.

Defending 'choice' sounds noble, but when the full-face veils you champion can conceal identities—including gender—and be exploited as a threat to public safety, then restricting them isn't oppression. It's common sense to eliminate the source of danger to protect everyone. Europe has never banned the hijab or any other Islamic rituals. The rules target only full-face coverings like the burqa and niqab—for security, identification, and integration. instead of spewing your BS here, and if you truly care about religious freedom, visit Islamic countries and see how much liberty Jews, Christians, or other minorities actually enjoy there. Real tolerance works both ways!

I don't care about Afghanistan because my issue is not with an Islamic country that has almost no Christians or Jews in it. Even if they exist, they're hiding because of persecution. The original post compares the freedoms of Christians in Israel to those in Iran, and idiotically enough @ChristopherHale thinks Christians are better off in Iran than in Israel. That's mind-blowing coming from someone who claims to be Christian, let alone Catholic. As to those who don't comply, you probably are ignorant of what happens to them. Every year, there are more than 30,000+ women are punished for not wearing that piece of scarf on their heads, which is a barbaric and medieval practice! Execution of 1,050 People and Crackdown on 30,000 Women for Not Wearing the Hijab

@DecipherClown @ChristopherHale @BasedTorba You know that 'Hijab' thing? Debunked Of course, you could always challenge the GCC countries where head coverings remain statutory. In fact, the Niqab still appears to be the wardrobe of custom. Or you could try Afghanistan where the Chador is back Taliban-style

Out of curiosity: How many people entered the Church in your parish this Easter?

First, there is zero verified evidence or credible reporting of Israel deliberately targeting churches in Syria or Lebanon. Israeli operations focus on Hezbollah and other terrorist threats embedded in civilian areas; any incidental damage to churches or Christian sites is tragic collateral from active combat zones, not intentional strikes on religious targets. Second, population-wise, Israel is home to roughly 185,000 Christians (about 1.9% of the country), a community that is openly practicing, growing year-over-year, and fully protected with legal equality. Israel has the only rising Christian population in the entire Middle East right now! Iran’s official census lists under 120,000, but even if we include unverified estimates of 500,000–1 million secret underground converts, those believers must hide their faith entirely or risk arrest, imprisonment, or execution under Iran’s apostasy laws. They aren’t free, public communities like Israel’s. Third, Iran’s regime has a long track record of persecuting Christians and mistreating minorities. Ask Iraqi Christians who endured the Iran-Iraq War about conditions in Iranian captivity, or look at today’s reality: Iran ranks among the world’s worst for Christian persecution, with converts facing systematic crackdowns. Try harder next time..

It doesn’t change the fact that there are more Christians and Christian churches in Iran than in Israel AND (this year) Israel disallowed the Christians in Israel to worship the day. Also Israel has bombed many Christian churches throughout Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria and killed many Christians throughout those areas.

Exactly, so your insertion of the Corinthians verse was not suitable for the discussion. There is a huge difference between voluntary head coverings as a symbol of order and submission in Christian worship and the punishment, fines, lashes, or prison associated with Iran's hijab laws.
