@takebackx I have a daughter and no sons. I raised her to stand up for herself whether it's a man or a woman she is dealing with. She will fight back if need be and I taught her how to fight back.

@DeracinatedOne Agree not all men are the problem- but when problems (abuse, violence, rape) occur- it’s usually a man. Please raise your sons to respect women. I don’t want to raise my daughter to fear men.

Today we celebrate the United States of America's 250th birthday. It is still the greatest country in the world despite those who say she is not. My thoughts to those who think such are to look around you, look in the mirror. What have YOU done to make her the nation she is ? For me, I am grateful for the freedom to write this, the freedom to possess what little I have, to be grateful for the life I have that isn't owned by someone else. Happy Birthday America. Freedom isn't free and the ideal that this great nation was founded on still exists - IF we can keep it alive.
