I thought it was understood that online activism isn’t real activism, now I’m seeing a whole bunch of people talk about “Online outreach and activism being the only way to make an impact..”
Firstly, we all know what needs to be done, we’re all too soft to do it.
Secondly, online activism is not the only way to make an impact or any impact at all. It’s simply the way people quantify their own self importance with likes and follows. Online activism will get one family the Matty.Whack treatment when you die, a givesendgo, a few prayers, and then it’s over. Thats the extent of your impact online. I’m sorry, not really though. Go do something, or shut up about activism and host your dumbass spaces.

🇬🇧 A prisoner jailed for seriously injuring a four-month-old baby has been left with life-altering injuries after a coordinated attack by fellow inmates at HMP Berwyn. Four prisoners admitted storming his cell, beating him and filming the assault in what a judge described as a planned “punishment.” The attack was so severe one of his testicles has “died” and may require surgical removal. The group received an additional two-and-a-half years each, to be served on top of their current sentences. Follow: @europa
