Day 1 of the #ESDN #PeerLearning marked an intensive day of exchange on how European countries are doing on spillover effects, covering many policy areas, like pollution, culture, CO2 emissions and incorporation in Voluntary National Reviews!

The ESDN Youth Event finished on 28 October with reflections and plans for the future engagement of youth in the ESDN. Thank you to the participants, young civil servants, ESDN Members and the speakers! Thank you to Ursula Kopp and @M_Kostetckaia, as well as @BMUV for organising!

Young ESDN civil servant Martyna Korotkiewicz from @MRiTGOVPL is presenting an example of how Poland deals with spillover effects.

Today, UN Youth Delegates are joined by young ESDN civil servants to exchange ideas and experiences!

We start the second day of the ESDN Youth Event with the welcoming words of the ESDN president @DanielDubas and the Vice-President Marguy Kohnen! The main message is: don't hesitate challenging established ideas, get creative and have fun!

Representatives of more than 20 European countries are here today for the ESDN youth event. In this photo, Youth Delegates are recreating an imaginary map of Europe, standing on the spots where the country they represent would be, from Ireland to Bulgaria.

@BMUV State Secretary Dr. Christiane Rohleder had a very open discussion with the young people about actions needed to address spillovers.

@TabeaWaltenberg from @SDSN_Germany explains SDSN's SDG and Spillover Index.

@MBeisheimSWP from @SWPBerlin is giving her input on the spillovers in a global context of the #SDGs.

Moving forward to input presentations! @Sven_Kaumanns from @destatis talked about spillover indicators and difficulties in measuring spillovers effects.

This morning, ESDN president @DanielDubas, Vice-Presid­ent László Borbely and Katr­in Kowalczyk from @BMUV gave their welcoming words. The main message was about the importance of youth in forming the world of tomorrow.

ESDN youth event starts today with an informal dinner for the UN Youth Delegates at the Ban Vegan restaurant!

#ESDW2023 had a few more events from France that were registered, bringing the total number of events up to 5,138 in 28 countries! From these events we have SDG data on 4,705 of them, that show which #SDGs they targeted! 360 events targeted #NoPoverty #SDG1!

The #ESDW2023 has come to an end! Events are still being counted up in our partner countries, so the final results of the Week may be out in a couple days. Currently, there are 4,711 events that took place in 27 European countries! Many thanks to all who make the #ESDW possible!
