The fact that he did not even get a whole life order but could be free eventually (he received 52 years on paper) is one further insult to the memory of these girls.

I think that we should be having a serious conversation about immigration and why those who come into the country illegally are not deported. Especially when they commit huge numbers of crimes. Stephanie Miller was standing at a bus stop in Fairfax County, US on 23 February 2026. She was attacked by a man, stabbed multiple times in the upper body and fatally stabbed in the neck. He left her to die on the street and ran away. Luckily, he was captured on CCTV and arrested shortly thereafter. His name is Abdul Jalloh and he illegally came to the US from Sierra Leone in 2012. During his time in the US he has (in addition to murdering Stephanie) also been arrested more than 30 times for rape, malicious wounding, assault, drug possession, identity theft, trespassing, larceny, firing a weapon, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and pick pocketing. In 2018 he was detained by ICE for removal from the US. But 2 years later, a judge ordered that he could not be sent back to Sierra Leone. At that point ICE had to let him go. This man’s behaviour was so disturbing that the police had even written to the Commonwealth Attorney’s office to tell them that something like Stephanie’s murder could happen.
