How did I not realize before now that the U.S. Coast Guard is part of DHS and not DoD? This feels wrong. I don't like it.

@EditrixJen It’s part of DHS because it used to be part of the Department of Transportation before 9/11. I know this because as a kid I wanted to be Secretary of Transportation specifically to weild the mighty power of the Coast Guard to crush my political foes.

Thought I'd sealed up the vent through which the neighbors' mice have been sneaking into my apartment, but nope, one found another way in, and now I can do nothing but frantically look around wondering where it is, how it got in, and why I am suddenly scared of mice.
