It's just insane that a person with no children earning between £100-125k pays an effective marginal tax rate of 62% in the UK. If you do have kids you're actually worse off earning over 100k than you would be below it with childcare subsidies.

Government pensions are a scam. Younger workers are paying more and more to fund a system that is mathematically impossible to sustain. Would you scrap the triple lock?

@FPL_Chunks @AaronBastani They are two separate things. They interact with each other but they are very separate. The price of oil goes up 50%. That's inflation. Its not a wage rise.

It should be indexed to wages, meaning a shared interest in a high wage economy. This was considered a massively progressive position until Cameron sought to bribe pensioners. The difference, in some years, could be £5-10 billion. The future success of the country needs that £.
