I didn't cite it to "prove" anything. He made a claim then that remains true today. And that claim is that Iran does not pose a nuclear threat to the U.S.
Read that carefully. I did not say "Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapons program." I said it doesn't pose a nuclear threat to the U.S. And it obviously doesn't. Not only does Iran not have any nuclear weapons, but even if they did have one, they have no way to hit the U.S. with it. And even if they also had that, it would be pointless suicide for them to try to hit one or two U.S. targets only to be annihilated themselves. That would be no way to further their aims. They're not stupid.
You may say that Iran still poses such a threat to Israel, or that it poses other threats to the U.S. But that is not relevant to what I actually said. Again, read it carefully before replying.
