@NGreentail All the games you listed are a perfectly fine order to play them in for the most part. You can skip out on Let's Go and Gen 4 remakes. Personally, I would swap in Emerald for Gen 3 as the remakes aren't on the same level as the Gen 1 and 2 remakes in terms of improvements.

A little help from Pokemon fans; I'm only a casual fan of the series, but after loving Pokopia and finishing Legends Z-A I want to dive deep into the series. Is this the best order and choice of games to get the best mainline Pokemon game experience?

@LilHammerBoi I usually don't get my favorite builds when I play either. As long as I get Garnet/Emerald Primary, Opal Secondary, and Sapphire Special, I can have fun and enjoy the run in some way.

@LuneShiro I like that one too! Secondary + Opal upgrade is a good backup in case I don't get the hairpin or other reset options for my Special.

@Mr_Buckey Funny you mention that cus that was used in the same build as this one. I didn't have enough room to fit everything so I mainly put in my favorite parts of the build.

@FilthyHector personally I prefer I think it's called obsidian hairpin? 50% chance on gaining invuln to reset your special I've gotten 7 specials in a row once with some added luck
