It is particularly cynical that, according to Ukrainska Pravda, construction began back in 2019 and did not stop even after the start of the full-scale war, when the country has been paying for its survival with blood every day. While the president is effectively protected by immunity during his term, this does not extend to his associates and other individuals involved if their participation is proven by investigators. If even part of what journalist Tkach has presented is confirmed in criminal proceedings, it could become one of the most significant corruption blows to the current government during the entire war.
