In February 2020, I woke up to a text from my brother Louis about an idea that changed our lives.
The idea was simple.
Social play-by-play data.
We called it Real.
What started as an idea is now used by millions every week. We’re a team of 5: I handle growth, Louis leads engineering with Sam and Chris, and our mom leads finance. We’re also backed by thousands of sports creators.
This is just the beginning.
We partnered with The Chernin Group as a strategic investor to accelerate growth and double down on the product and community. After a year of getting to know each other, we knew they were the right partners. They bring deep experience and credibility as we build alongside the biggest names in sports, media, and entertainment.
With their involvement, we’re expanding into tennis, F1, and global soccer, while going deeper in the leagues we cover.
We’ve also brought on investors including Tyrese Haliburton, Kenny Beecham, Clix, Tre Jones, and Grayson Allen. They’ve all been early supporters of Real, use it daily, and share it organically with their audiences.
The vision stays the same: build the best product and community in sports.
Thank you to the Real community for all the support since day one.
We wouldn’t be here without you.

On April 13, 2016, Kobe Bryant delivered one of the most iconic farewell performances in sports history. He dropped 60 points to lead the Lakers to a comeback win over the Utah Jazz. At 37, in his 20th season, he closed out his career the only way he knew how—on his terms. As he walked off the court one last time, he left the world with two simple words:
“Mamba out.” 💛💜
