The irony of calling a region the safest when its own people could not move freely without armed security for five years is a reality that many have overlooked. Thousands of residents were forced to flee their ancestral homes and farmlands due to the persistent fear of IPOB and ESN insurgents who systematically stripped the community of its peace. For years, these once vibrant settlements were overtaken by grown weeds and bushes as the people lived in exile, watching from afar as gunmen masquerading as protective agitators instead became the very source of their terror. Today, the narrative is finally changing. Thanks to the relentless efforts and successful clearance operations of Operation Udo Ka, the people of Orsu Ihiteukwa are finally reclaiming their streets. We are seeing a restoration of life.
