While the Diamondbacks have been scuffling as of late, I expect them to take this game with their ace on the mound. Burnes has been up to his normal standard this season, yet he still has a high chase rate and the Mets rank as league average in that stat. The Mets are rolling out Huascar Brazoban and are opting for a bullpen day. While there bullpen has been great this year, the diamondbacks have been an elite hitting team against opposing bullpens posting an OPS of over 780. MLB Best Bet 4/29 New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction: Yankees ML I’m going back to the well here after a tough loss last night where the Bombers stranded 9 base runners, and struck out 15 times ultimately falling 4-3 to the O’s. Unlike last night the Yanks have a sizable pitching edge with Rodon on the mound. He’s not my favorite southpaw in the league yet pretty much any southpaw will do when up against this Baltimore lineup. He has been outstanding so far, with a 3.50 ERA and an xERA that looks more like 2.90. His stuff has been good and we all know the Orioles couldn’t hit LHP if they had a tennis racket. They are the worst team in baseball against the offering .177 BA, .491 OPS and strike out at a top 5 rate. They also are the MLB worst with RISP and bottom 3 OPS. Rodon should have no issues keeping this lineup in check while the Yankees bats work their magic against Kyle Gibson who will be making his season debut tonight. The Guy missed spring training and hasn’t played in the Bigs in awhile. That could cause problems facing the leagues best. I expect the Yanks to jump on him early and often in this one and I will be playing them on the ML in a strong bounce back spot after losing a game they should have easily won had they came through just once with RISP.
