I really think if this one page was better executed and wasn't so "peak Bendis" this whole thing wouldn't get nearly as much hate as it does. As it stands, it's the only one that gets regularly shared and all the context and dialogue around it gets ignored.

The real Dark Phoenix story is about the effects of grief, dissociation, trauma, and sexual abuse however these two versions completely changed them to the stereotype of “woman corrupted by power” that gets given to powerful female characters. We’ve never seen the actual story
