@julebrus_kongen @JamesB_afc If he continues the run, he goes offside. He paused his run after the ball was given to Zubi which Zubi immediately tried to play across to him but the defenders already recovered and the space was tight.
That was a poor decision from Odegaard, even Zubi knew.

@JamesB_afc It's actually geniuous if Gyökeres continues his run towards the penalty spot and Zubi plays the pass into his feet at first touch. But none of them see that play, and Ødegaard gets the blame

Ok let’s have a fair chat on Odegaard
I actually think in the first half we played some great football because he connected us
2nd half the game became end to end and physical and I think he really struggled (injury history maybe a factor)
But this… this is just such a horrible pass to play. It’s the wrong one offensively AND defensively.
And telling the fans to calm down and then raise the noise. I’m at war with fans over this but please just fucking stop doing this
I believe Arsenal’s best version has him in it though - so just keep chipping away at it and hope 🙏

We started struggling when our defense started getting shaky.
Don't blame our attackers for our inefficiency in attack, blame our system that has no attacking efficiency besides set pieces.

That is not the case with our manager whose system exposes the weakness of all our attackers. It's not a coincidence that every attacker under Arteta has regressed. We've survived this far because of our defense, which is the primary strength of our system.

There's nothing wrong with the talent of our attackers, they've just been platformed wrongly. Semenyo at Arsenal would be worse than Martineli. Doku would be another Madueke, Cherki would be another Odegaard. Those players thrive where they are because they were platformed well.

Not defending it in the slightest but just caught the Eze goal last night, has anyone ever thought that the majority of the ‘marginalisation’ of Arsenal’s football ie. set pieces & routines is mostly down to a lack of attacking quality? Outside of Eze, Havertz & Saka, the majority of the rest are pretty mediocre. City have beautiful patterns between the front 4 but mostly because Cherki is a wizard, Doku is one of the best box enterers I’ve seen, Haaland’s a generational striker & Semenyo has insane talents for a wide attacking forward. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of it is an Arsenal/Arteta/Berta issue but can’t help but think they’ve needed a superstar attacker for 4 years and the rigidity & ‘boringness’ argument is largely because of the players he’s working with. Idk, just a thought I’ve had for a few weeks.

🚨Clear chance that we missed.
Rice had a chance to shoot on his right foot❌
Odegaard could pass to havertz clean through, he delayed and end up giving rubbish pass❌
Odegaard again, pass to Gyokores, no, e passed to zubimendi. ❌
Saka laid it for rice and Ode coming through ❌

@ishola_afc @SirLeoBDasilva It goes beyond that. The manager has wired their minds in certain ways that what is meant to be simple and clear becomes a risk with them.
It is glaring that the players have been coached out of the instincts that come with their positions.

Gyokeres attempted a pass that was not successful at least which was intercepted. Were these not the same actions of Havertz y’all excused just last week? Inexcusable but that can and has happened with way better players.

Every attacker in the team can’t magically be doing back passes.
This is not football.
