I tried filing through VA Title 38 U.S.C. 1151 but they denied every single one. The last one I took it all the way to the judge and that recently got denied. Just don’t know at this point. It’s been over 5 years… - [x] Here’s the denial letter they sent me… just complete nonsense… They put down on my denial letter for my right hand something about a kidney surgery I never had.. I do not have kidney problems and I certainly never had surgery to have it removed… That’s how messed up the VA is right now. They’re just denying your claims and putting random stuff on your denial letters…There’s nothing on it about how long it took them to realize I needed surgery but instead started talking about alcohol while I didn’t even know what I had…. and apparently they didn’t either… how about getting some real doctors that know what they are doing and maybe pay them more so our Vets wouldn’t have to suffer.

How about the Vets that already got screwed? This is what the VA did to me. My Grand Father is a Korean War Vet, my father’s a Vietnam War Vet, and I’m a Gulf War Vet. I came from a long line of men who served our country yet I’m being treated like scum. What is the next political agenda, honor the Gulf War Vets years from now when they’re starting to die away? My ‘Right Hand’ claim denial letter contained a clause about a surgery to remove my kidney. I never had that done, my kidneys are still here with me today. But why was that included, a false statement at that, and nothing to do with my severe finger and hand infection. I had a tube that went from a needle in my forearm that ran inside a blood vessel and straight to my heart. I nearly died… I was admitted to a hospital where they did an emergency surgery that evening since the infection was spreading from my finger, to my hand, and on its way to my arm. A stent, a needle and hose just like when people get there IV fluid was inserted into my arm for liquid antibiotics, but the stent has a tube that went straight to my heart. The infection was so severe I sweated and wet my sheets every night for months. I would wake up and change my shirt two to three times a night. The stent in my arm was there for months while I shot myself with antibiotics through the needle and hose directly to my heart to circulate the medicine throughout my body and fight the infection. The infection I had went deep inside my circulatory system and bone. A traveling nurse had to be assigned to me to come to my house and change out the dressing on my hand and finger twice a week. They would shove these anti infection cloths deep into my finger and palm and remove it every time they come so they may replace it with new ones. This all could have been prevented if the doctor knew what she was doing weeks before and had sent me to the hospital for surgery and treatment. Instead she looked at my blown up ‘sausage’ finger, squeezed puss out of it, and recommend that I go back to see her if it doesn’t get better. I even tried to suggest the clinic to please run tests and see what it is… they never did so… I went back to see her two to three times before a different doctor was so alarmed at what she saw she told me to go straight to the hospital or I will die. This is what the VA is trying to say that it was not their fault… They denied my disability claim after they made me a disabled Vet… The bacteria ate away at my middle finger so bad that it shortened my finger and later the bone fused together so I can no longer bend it. The infection caused severe arthritis throughout the rest of my fingers on my right hand. I’ll post the denial letter next.

The debt we owe our Veterans knows no boundaries. Today’s meeting with the Tribal Nations of Oklahoma was a powerful reminder of that duty. @tomcoleok04 and I are united in one simple goal - streamlining the @deptvetaffairs so our Veterans get the care they deserve.

We will always remember what our Vietnam veterans gave—and the courage they showed. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

My Grand Father is a Korean War Vet, my father’s a Vietnam War Vet, and I’m a Gulf War Vet. I came from a long line of men who served our country yet I’m being treated like scum.
