I saw a post floating around my socials that someone was spending a lot of money cosplaying and they felt bad no one would appreciate it. I understand there’s a lot that goes into a hobby or craft. But you do it for your joy and not anyone else. Its easy to get caught in the numbers game with how the world is at the moment. There is a difference between making content and a hobby. And you don’t need to monetize or make every hobby into content. Imo the greatest joy I find in my hobbies is just the act of doing them or making them because it’s meaningful to me. Or maybe finding other enthusiasts and sharing what we mutually love.
