NSPA is responsible for essential social protection and medical welfare services, directly supporting the most vulnerable people in our society. This is not a role that can be split. It requires full-time focus, oversight, and accountability. With government working hours typically from 8am to 2pm, how is one person effectively managing both this role and that of Government Spokesperson? The dual responsibility raises serious concerns about workload, overlapping demands, and whether those who rely on these services are receiving the priority and care they deserve.

If one door closes, another opens. The only banners that belong here are for our Mayor @adamazim and Team Thilafai. Kuriah Kuriah 🗳️⚖️✅

This is honestly absurd. These banners are only up for a few more weeks, and candidates always remove them promptly after. They’ve been placed in general, non-intrusive locations, so it’s hard to understand why this is being blown out of proportion; making a mountain out of a molehill, really. At the end of the day, citizens will vote based on their own choice regardless of how many posters are put up. It just seems like the ruling party can’t digest the presence of an opposition.

ނިމިދިޔަ ހަފުތާގެ ތެރޭގައި ސަރުކާރުން ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ޔަޤީންކަން ދިނީ ތެލާއި، ގޭސް އަދި އަސާސީ ކާބޯ ތަކެތި ލިބުމުގައި އެއްވެސް ދަތި ކަމެއް ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ކުރިމަތި ނުވާނެ ކަމަށް. ނަމަވެސް މިއަދު މިވަނީ ގޭސް ލިބުމުގައި ދަތިތަކަކާ ކުރިމަތިލާންޖެހިފައި. ދުނިޔޭގެ ބާޒާރުގައި ތެލުގެ އަގު ބޮޑު ވެގެންދާއިރު، ތެޔޮ ގަންނަން ކުރަން ޖެހޭ ޚަރަދު ވަރަށް ބޮޑު ތަނުން މަތިވެގެން ދާނެ. މީގެ ސަބަބުން ތަކެތީގެ އަގު ބާޒާރުގައި އުފުލިގެން ދާނެ. ސަރުކާރުން މިހާރު ވެސް އެ ގެންދަނީ ދަރަނި ދެއްކުމަށާއި، ތެޔޮ ގަންނަން އިތުރަށް ކުރަން ޖެހޭ ޚަރަދު އަދި އެހެނިހެން ޚަރަދުތައް ފޫބެއްދުމަށް އިތުރު ދަރަނި ނަގަން މަސައްކަތް ކުރަމުން. މިއީ ދަރަނި ހޯދުމަށް ވެސް އުނދަގޫ ވަގުތެއްކަން ވިސްނުމުގައި ބަހައްޓަން ވާނެ. އާންމު ޙާލަތުގައި ޤައުމުގެ ކަންކަން އޮތްއިރު ވެސް ވޭތުވެ ދިޔަ ދެ އަހަރެއްހާ ދުވަހު އިޤްތިޞާދު އޮތީ އެންމެ ރަނގަޅަށް މެނޭޖު ނުކުރެވި. އެހެންކަމުން މިފަދަ ވަގުތެއްގައި އިޤްތިޞާދު މެނޭޖުކޮށް، ރައްޔިތުންގެ ކަންބޮޑުވުން ތަކަށް ޙައްލު ގެނައުމަށް އަސާސީ ކަންތައްތަކާއި، ބޭސް ފަރުވާގެ ކަންކަމާއި، ރާއްޖެ އިން ބޭރުގައި ކިޔަވަން ތިބި ދަރިވަރުންގެ ކަންތައްތައް ރަނގަޅަށް ހަމަޖެއްސޭނީ ވަރަށް ހަރުދަނާ ކަމާ އެކު މަސައްކަތް ކޮށްގެން. ދުނިޔެ މި އޮތީ ގޮތް ނޭނގޭ ބޮޑު ހަނގުރާމައެއްގެ ތެރޭގައި. ހަނގުރާމަ ނުހުއްޓޭ ނަމަ، އެންމެ ބޮޑު ގެއްލުމަކާ ކުރިމަތިލާން ޖެހޭ އެއް ޤައުމަށް ރާއްޖެ ވާނެ. އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ވިޔަފާރީގެ ބޮޑު ބައެއް، ޚާއްސަކޮށް ކޯވިޑް-19 އަށް ފަހު މިއޮތީ މެދު އިރުމައްޗާ ގުޅިފައި. އެއީ ސީދާ މެދު އިރުމަތީ ޤައުމުތަކުން އިމްޕޯޓު ކުރުން، ނުވަތަ މެދު އިރުމަތިން ޓްރާންސިޓް ކޮށްގެން ރާއްޖެ އަށް މުދާ އެތެރެ ކުރުން. ތެޔޮ ގަންނަން ސަރުކާރުން މަހަކު ގާތް ގަނޑަކަށް 50 މިލިއަން އެމެރިކާ ޑޮލަރު ހޭދަކުރާއިރު، މިހާރު މި އަދަދު 75 މިލިއަން އެމެރިކާ ޑޮލަރަށް އެރުމަކީ އެކަށީގެންވާ ކަމެއް. ހަމައެއާ އެކު އަމިއްލަ ފަރާތްތަކުން އެތެރެ ކުރާ ތެލުގެ އަގު ވެސް މި މިންގަނޑުން މައްޗަށް ދާނެ. މީގެ ސަބަބުން ރިސޯޓު ތަކުގެ ހިންގުމުގެ ޚަރަދާއި، އަދި އަމިއްލަ ވިޔަފާރީ ތަކުން ކުރަން ޖެހޭ ޚަރަދު ބޮޑު ވެގެން ދާނެ. އަދި ކުދި ވިޔަފާރި ތަކަށާއި، އަދި ވަޒީފާ ތަކަށް ވެސް ބޮޑު އަސަރެއް ކުރާނެ. މިފަދަ ޚައްސާސް ވަގުތެއްގައި ޤައުމުގެ ކަންކަން ދުވަހުން ދުވަހަށް ހިންގައި، އަދި ކަމާ ގުޅުން ހުރި އެންމެހާ ފަރާތްތަކާ އެކު މިކަމުގައި މަސައްކަތްކޮށް ޤައުމުގެ ކަންތައްތައް ވީހާ ވެސް ރަނގަޅަށް މެނޭޖު ކުރުމަށް ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ އިސްވެ ހުންނަވައިގެން ޓާސްކް ފޯހެއް އުފެއްދުމަކީ މުހިންމު ކަމެއް ކަމުގައި ދެކެން. މިކަންތައް ކުޑަ ކަމެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ނުނަންގަވައި، ވަގުތު ފާއިތު ނުވަނީސް ހަރުދަނާ ފިޔަވަޅުތައް އަޅުއްވާ. ސަރުކާރަށް ތާއީދު އިތުރު ކުރުމަށް އުފައްދާ ބޭކާރު ވަޒީފާ ތަކަށް މީހުން ނެގުމާއި ސަރުކާރުގެ ވަސީލަތްތައް ބޭނުން ކޮށްގެން ކުރާ އިސްރާފު ހުއްޓާލައްވާ. އަދި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ޚިދުމަތް ދިނުމުގައި ސަރުކާރު އޮފީސް ތަކުގެ ޚަރަދު ކުޑަ ކުރެވޭނެ ގޮތަކަށް މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވާ، ސަރުކާރު ހިންގުމުގެ ޚަރަދު ކުޑަ ކުރައްވާ. އެއްވެސް ހާސް ކަމެއް ނެތްކަން ދެއްކުމުގެ ބަދަލުގައި، ސާފު ތެދު މައުލޫމާތު ޒިންމާދާރު ކަމާ އެކު ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ފޯރުކޮށްދެއްވާ.
