@ni99awhocares You can technically change any of it using steam input yes!
English

@HardwareSteam Can you mode switch the trackpads between directional/face buttons and analog sticks using the back paddles so you don't have to move your thumbs away from the trackpads?
English

@ThisIsAMisSteak There’s a good chance we Will receive news within the next few weeks I just think it’s not good practice believing and posting about random anonymous Reddit posts
English

@HardwareSteam bookmarking incase you're proved horribly wrong
English

"confirmed" "anonymous user" "on reddit" Are we stupid

Half - Life 3 was just confirmed to be dropping this year by an anonymous user on Reddit. He claims the release date of the Steam Machine is to match with the schedule of Half-Life 3, this year. “Valve is very busy with Half-Life 3 and the Steam Machine, which is internally viewed as their flagship product” The user states to expect more news within 2 weeks from now.
English

@DoT350z I would watch @Tyler_McV’s deep dives on Half Life 3 info, there’s not much I personally can say other than there’s a good chance it’ll release with the Steam Machine. It’s a PC and a console, and consoles are very commonly bundled with games for sales. It is 100% coming though.
English

@HardwareSteam i honestly don't know what's stopping them from making hl3, i might not be updated on the current status of this game (if its in development) but i'll believe any news about hl3 if its from gaben himself

Valve published a new job opening for a Hardware Finance & Accounting Professional.
"This role will be responsible for the business and finance & accounting aspects of our hardware business. Lead forecasting for the hardware products’ life cycle and also on a monthly basis to send to our contract manufacturers. Monitor actual demand against forecast for hardware business, assessing performance and inventory levels, and raising options to the team to align trajectory/course-correct, if necessary. Analyze hardware product costs for end-consumer, retailer/distributor pricing for product life cycle, and participate in the decision-making".

@BucketBoy071 @JerkForKirk It’s honestly fairly comfortable atleast to hold but the face button placements make 0 sense but I believe if it was someone’s only option they could get used to it. Feels like it’s trying to be different just to be different though, which make sense since it’s a prototype.
English

@HardwareSteam @JerkForKirk How well does it play if you got it too work? I imagine the face buttons being far apart would be awkward to work with, though not impossible.
English

@OmniMain only wired + micro usb, but atleast with the Steam Deck they’re completely functional and are detected as if they’re normal (original) Steam Controllers. There are many other prototypes aswell this is just the most easy to get one
English

@HardwareSteam Wait those are functional? I always thought they were for show haha
English

@GalaxGrace_ If they wanted to fully go the first way, I doubt it’d have standalone features at all, and it would have much higher performance and features so it could run the best possible, and in that case it may be more expensive. But I believe this will be somewhat of a Quest competitor.
English

@GalaxGrace_ It will Certainly be expensive but I believe valve is trying to find somewhere between an extremely expensive decked out (pun intended) VR headset for pc gaming like the Index and something for casual audiences like the Quest. Over 1000 is too much, 500 or under is too little
English

@GalaxGrace_ From educated guesses based on components and multiple other factors
Steam Controller will be between 50 and 80, Steam Frame will between 600 and 900, Steam Machine will be between 700 and 1000
Regardless you'll be paying over 1.5k for everything together unfortunately
English

@DaysSteam Steam hardware have you guessed the prices for all 3 stuff because I need to know if I'm delusional for $800 and $1k for steam frame (256gb and 1tb)
English

Nah. I mean GTA is oven 25 years old and all games combined isn't as big as a game that was made for 17 years ago
Urban GTA 6@Urban_GTA_6
Do you think GTA 6 will surpass Minecraft’s 350 million copies sold? 👀
